Security features Consecutively running serial numbers on the front of the banknote. Coloured fibers (hairs) scattered throughout the banknote fluorescing under ultraviolet light. Watermark. 1 mm wide solid security thread. Fluorescing golden Sun God Mask, La Tolita Culture, which is also a symbol of the Central Bank of Ecuador. Fluorescing “CINCUENTA MIL SUCRES” and the “50000” denomination.

On top a golden Sun surrounded by the astrological signs for Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer representing the months March to July to symbolize the duration of the March Revolution of 1845.
