Security features Denomination and embossed anticopy key (PEAK) in a circle depicting Domodomo Tagaga canoe masthead and the year 2016 executed in optically variable ink (OVI). Red and black ascending serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Segmented, windowed, vertical, exposed on the obverse, 2 mm wide metallic color-shifting Starsheen® security thread, bearing demetalized text “FIJI 7s GOLD OLYMPIANS” and a rugby goal post. Rugby gold medal symbol, rugby goal post, embossed rugby ball with numeral “7”, the red serial number, the Reserve Bank’s emblem and a bunch of dots fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Other features from Oberthur include Complex®, an anti-scan feature consisting of line structure patterns designed to produce disruptive patterns when photocopied, and the Avalon® UV feature which changes its fluorescent colour when gently rubbed – the first banknote in the world to include the feature. Securicoat® Ultra matt and glossy varnishes with oleophobic and hydrophobic properties are also applied
