Obverse | Pansau Na Isna. Pansau Na Isna (1938-1969 or 1970) was an indigenous leader of the Balanta ethnic group who led the revolt against Portuguese domination. He collaborated with Amilcar Cabral, who founded the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC). He led the rebel forces in the battle of Komi in 1964, the first step in the struggle for independence. He died in the bombing of Nhacra. |
